Anonymous asked: Caesar Milan's techniques work on some dogs, but not sensitive ones. He's very old school. What pisses me off the most is his assumption that dogs don't love or feel positive emotions, which is very steeped in old Catholic ideology and has been disproved by modern biology.

theshoutsofmany asked: (cont)Cesar Millan and they consider him extremely abusive. Many well known animal welfare/rights organizations have spoken out against Millan and his methods, including the ASPCA, HSUS, AVSAB, APDT, etc etc. I will send you a fan mail with many links that talk about how extremely wrong this glorified dog groomer is. He does NOT understand dog behavior.

theshoutsofmany asked: Cesar Millan uses outdated and ABUSIVE methods (flooding, "alpha" rolling, kicking, etc) to "rehabilitate" dogs. The truth is, he just shuts the dogs down. Many of the dogs he has "saved" have been made worse, and plenty of them have either been rehomed or euthanized after the taping. Not to mention, most of the dogs aren't even that bad until he shows up. He has...

Please help stop Shell drilling in the Arctic for... →
thepolarbearblog: polarbearking: Send a message to Secretary Salazar to stop Shell from drilling for oil in the Arctic and further endangering the polar bear population. The oil industry still has no method for cleaning up spills in ice-filled waters. A major spill could devastate the Arctic ecosystems — poisoning polar bears, suffocating whales and killing other wildlife. Be the voice...

anoceanactivist: A place called Island Burger in Brooklyn, New York has started selling shark burgers for $9.50 and it’s become so popular that other fast food places may attempt to sell their own shark burger! Why not visit their Facebook page and give them a piece of your mind? I just did!

takeachanceandbestrong55 asked: I'm so happy someone made a blog like this. People don't understand how serious of a problem animal treatment (and sometimes, torture) is. So thank you for sticking up for the animals and informing people. My stepmom is big on animal rights, and until I met her and talked about it, I never knew how serious it is. Keep getting the word out! You may make a difference :) For animals and...

Stanford Universities Residency Program in... →
“Animal testing has been around for many decades now and it is an inhumane tradition that we place upon animals. With scientist forming many new and fully proven Non-Animal testing alternatives, they should use these new testings more often then not and should educate them to students at universities. Stanford University is standing high in the science field today and they should change their...

The Body Shop tests on animals! →
redwoodhummingbird: The Body Shop was well-known for their “Cruelty-free” products….. but the owner sold her company to L’O’real…. and They are testing on animals now (and apparently have been even before the sale of The Body Shop. “Animal welfare activists have called for a boycott of the Body Shop after its founder Anita Roddick and fellow shareholders sold out to French cosmetics giant...

Anonymous asked: I started a petition about the Stanford residency program in laboratory animal medicine asking them to give the opportunity for the students to use a non-animal testing program instead due to the harmful and torturous nature brought by animal testing. Would you pass along the link to people that are interested in signing the petition?

Anonymous asked: I just wanted to say thanks to quoilecanard for giving more info on the original question I asked. However, I wish that you would not assume that just because I asked what you may have thought was a dumb question that I am "only drinking milk because a calf somewhere is not, and is somewhere locked up or killed." I don't drink milk, I just wanted some legit information that I...

quoilecanard asked: Cows are only in pain when they are not milked because their babies are denied access to their milk. People think that a cow needing to have their milk drained means that they need humans to steal it from them. It's simply not true. Yes, cows need the relief, but it should not be from humans. It should be their baby nursing from them. Cows don't produce milk unless they have a baby, same...

Anonymous asked: Hey, I was just reading what you had reposted about the enslavement, rape and murder section of the grocery store. And I don't know if this is a stupid question, but, some people were saying that cows are in a lot of pain when they aren't milked? Is that true?
